At a glance
Based in the UK, the client is the world's largest advertising agency group involved in communications, advertising, public relations, and other businesses.
The challenge
Before partnering with AMS in 2021, the client had a decentralised process of hiring, utilising multiple vendors to cater to their hiring needs across various regions.
Besides grappling with the different time zones and rotational shifts that came along with the challenge of hiring across multiple regions, they struggled to keep up with the diversity ratio at an organisational level. Catering to specific roles in the banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) industry in this male-dominant space, the diversity ratio dipped and increased the turnaround time by a huge margin.
The solution
When AMS commenced this partnership, Covid-19 hit its peak. This called for a need to think beyond the standard recruitment method. With that, AMS:
- Delivered a team of specialised sourcers, recruiters and administrators from the finance domain.
- Developed research & development plan to better understand the finance market and talent pool availability in different regions (UK, US, UAE, North America, Europe, Bangladesh, and ANZ).
- Created a strategic pitch that covered a predominant employee value proposition to attract the right talent.
- Had each recruiter be responsible for a specific region (UK, US, UAE, North America, Europe, Bangladesh, and ANZ) to ensure maximum productivity.
- Developed a sourcing plan that first targeted female candidates for every requisition.
- Provided hiring managers with Market Intelligence across various requisitions in different regions to reduce the turnaround time and avoid lengthy approval processes.
- Placed dedicated talent acquisition specialists at the client’s office to ensure constant face-to-face interaction with the hiring managers.
The impact
The partnership between AMS and the client has proven to be a great success story, achieving the following:
- Successfully increased the diversity ratio from 34% to 48% by recruiting more female candidates.
- Onboarded 500+ consultants across all regions with reduced turnaround time.
- Received great words of appreciation from the global GL Accounting team, in the presence of the global stakeholders by fulfilling all open roles in the GL team within a turnaround time of less than 1 week.
- Became the exclusive hiring partner by delivering client satisfaction through work efficiency.
- Led to a scope expansion by taking up another Shared Service Centre based out of Chennai.
- Within the first month of go-live with the client in Chennai, AMS achieved 26 selects. We received a word of appreciation from the client.
- Filled a niche role with a ratio of 1:1 with a turnaround time of two weeks. Maconomy, being a niche skill that is not easily available in India, was seeing a turnaround time of 200+ days before AMS stepped in.
