The Role

Job Title:

Response Handler - Financial Services

Location:

Belfast - onsite 3-4 days week

Hours:

37.5hours per week full time

Job type:

6 month fixed term contract

Joining our embedded team with a premier investment banking client, this role focuses on response handling - acting frontline for inbound candidate interest and applications.

As a key partner to Recruiters and Hiring Managers, you will serve as a brand ambassador, transforming applicant curiosity into genuine engagement. Leveraging candidate data, talent market analysis, and a consultative screening approach, you will evaluate, qualify, and align active applicants to specific role requirements.

By bringing each opportunity to life in an authentic and compelling way, you will ensure only the most interested, highly qualified, and market-ready candidates are progressed to our hiring teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage, review, and evaluate inbound candidate applications and expressions of interest for a variety of investment banking requisitions.

  • Serve as the primary brand ambassador for our client, engaging applicants in an authentic, compelling, and professional manner.

  • Partner with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to gain a deep understanding of core role requirements, team dynamics, and candidate profiles.

  • Conduct initial screening evaluations to assess candidates' qualifications, skills, and overall alignment with active vacancies.

  • Leverage candidate data, recruitment analytics, and historical hiring trends to streamline the evaluation and shortlisting process.

  • Build and maintain consultative relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure candidate feedback loops are prompt and effective.

  • Deliver fully qualified, highly engaged, and market-ready shortlists to Hiring Managers to accelerate time-to-hire.

  • Maintain accurate candidate tracking and data integrity within the ATS throughout the screening lifecycle.

Skills & Requirements

  • Proven candidate screening or response handling experience within the financial services sector (RPO, agency, or in-house staffing environment).

  • Hands-on proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and managing large, fast-moving applicant pipelines.

  • Strong candidate assessment skills, with a track record of evaluating qualifications, technical skill sets, and cultural fit against complex requisition requirements.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to act as a compelling, professional brand ambassador for a global investment bank.

  • Demonstrated stakeholder management capabilities to effectively partner with Recruiters and Hiring Managers in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of core corporate, operations, technology, or investment banking functional areas and industry terminology.

  • High attention to detail, strong data integrity habits, and the ability to organize and prioritize high volumes of incoming applications efficiently.

  • Adaptable, consultative mindset with a data-informed approach to candidate shortlisting and pipeline management.
