The invisible workforce: Turning complexity into clarity

February 26, 2026

AMS HQ,
Sixty London Wall

Contractors, freelancers, and consultants may be everywhere, yet they often remain the least visible part of the workforce. That invisibility not only creates compliance risks, but also obscures costs, weakens governance, and limits agility.

With the upcoming UK Employment Rights Bill set to expand protections, sharpen definitions of employment status, and increase enforcement powers, organisations face a step-change in their responsibilities. Misclassification risk is rising, obligations around transparency and record-keeping are tightening, and the cost of non-compliance is expected to increase.

In this session, we’ll explore how organisations can move beyond simply plugging compliance gaps to achieve full visibility. We’ll unpack what the new legislation means for managing your extended workforce and how to adapt your operating model now. By turning complexity into clarity, you’ll learn how to strengthen compliance frameworks while unlocking hidden value, reducing risk, and building resilience across your entire workforce ecosystem.
