Talking talent technology with LinkedIn’s Adam Hawkins

It was great to sit down with LinkedIn’s Adam Hawkins at Talent Connect recently. We chatted about how we see the talent technology space evolving, the four categories of tools currently being marketed in the talent space, and the importance of people in technology transformation.

The talent technology space is evolving quickly and the number of solutions coming to market is increasing but it’s how tech is delivered which can really be the difference between success and failure.

Companies that deploy talent technology tools the most successfully are those who truly appreciate that it is a mixture of tech and touch which enables business success.

A key thing to remember is that technology is only as good as the people and processes you build around it: you will fail 99 times out of 100 if you try to optimise technology without optimising your people processes first.
