Ruth is responsible for the strategic direction of our Global People and Culture team including, inclusion and diversity, wellbeing and learning & development. In her role, she partners with the executive team to develop people strategies and plans for the business. Ruth joined AMS fourteen years ago. In this time, she has supported the business and its growth from less than 800 employees to over 4,000 today. Together with her team, Ruth supports the business in attracting and developing exceptional talent and fostering a culture of inclusion where people can be their authentic selves and enabled do their best work. Colleagues would describe her as an authentic values-led leader.
Ruth has over 20 years’ experience in HR consulting and in-house HR roles. She has a degree in Politics and International Studies and is CIPD qualified. She has led a number of people change projects both within and outside of AMS. Key achievements include leading people integration after an acquisition, efficiency and effectiveness reviews of HR functions and the design and implementation of new reward structures.
Prior to AMS, Ruth worked for PwC for nine and a half years in an external client facing HR consulting role. Ruth wanted the opportunity to take an in-house HR role with a global and rapidly growing business. She joined to work in an environment where she had the autonomy to champion and deliver growth related people change and in a culture that is positive and inclusive.
